Located directly opposite the iconic London Fields Brewery and in the heart of East London’s most vibrant and stylish area, Wringer & Mangle features a 250-cover bar and restaurant. Guests are able to enjoy the great outdoors all year round, with the attractive courtyard. Reclaimed wood, creeping Russian ivy plants, flickering lights and Victorian lamps create a charming setting that guests will want to linger in day and night.
The light and spacious inside area features French doors opening out onto the terrace. Combining both the contemporary and the classic, the industrial cement interior is juxtaposed with retro adverts, mismatched tables, Chesterfields and wingback chairs. The space features artistic attractions such as a giant light box lit with Victorian bulbs, a copper tubing sculpture and an exhibition of local photography and art from in and around Hackney. An indoor pergola and garden area at the rear of the building brings a touch of nature inside the bustling restaurant & bar.
A long bar provides a focal point to the room where visitors can choose many interesting concoctions from an innovative menu with a unique sense of fun and attention to detail.
The reverse Collins menu asks the customer to choose their home-made soda infusion, of which there is over 20, first rather than it being added at the end as you would find in a typical cocktail. The sodas range from the sweet to the sublime with beetroot and vanilla, lime and honey and peppermint. With over 30 variations on the classic Tom Collins the menu offers a new way of creating and drinking cocktails with everything from whiskey infused duck fat roasted walnuts to eucalyptus syrup the menu offers a drink for every taste.
