Big Scott Radio Live - Nos Da June
Kirk Morgan has a voice that melts away your troubles. He tells stories of his busking times and sings songs from decades ago. There's an absolutely beautiful guitar, a harmonica, a foot Tambo and that voice. What a treat for your ears. Find Kirk HERE The Bakestones played an acoustic set for us, a rare opportunity whilst their drummer is busy, to see these boys stripped down - oo-er! It was interesting; a nice way to get closer to their lyrics, feel the awesome funk of their guitar and focus on their 'walking' bass. I think they felt exposed without their drummer thrashing about, but it showed there's substance to their songs and musicianship and just how strong their vocals are. That said, we did miss you and the cowbell, David! Find The Bakestones HERE Them Dead Beats - I haven't seen these for beyond ages and certainly not this lineup comprising of just two humans. So I was pretty excited to see and hear what they do. And what they do, is RAWK! With an impromptu performance by Joe Kelly on harmonica... May @ Nos Da with a Big Scott Radio Broadcast
May’s NosDa Hostel & Bar? Big Scott Radio? Broadcast saw both sleepyhouse Wales and Thousand Fingers make their debut in the City. sleepyhouse are a guitar and vocal duo with a chilled out vibe mixed with funky guitar and emotive vocals. We’ve broadcast them twice now and each time they’ve evolved and grown in stage presence. The journey is just beginning but I’m excited to see where these two are going. On to the next big stage! Thousand Fingers?- I was really excited to see these play, after a commissioned photo shoot a couple of months ago with their brand new lineup, I needed to see them live. They bring wall-to-wall sound, they clearly LOVE playing their music. A full set, packed with a heavy bass line, some serious stadium rock guitar riffs, brilliantly heavy drums and strengthening, passionate vocals, they are FUN and they make you want to move. Plus, they’re the nicest, most gracious lads in rock and roll.
