Harri Davies
I throughly enjoyed listening to a variety of genres at the Harri Davies gig in Clwb Ifor Bach, I was expecting a very folk orientated evening, however when Harri came to the stage the soft but husky tones of his voice gave his music a very blues feel.

Junior Bill & The Scallies'
Junior Bill & The Scallies’ street sussed Dubwise sounds evoke the growing pains of young urban South Wales. With a hefty dose of intelligent yet raw roots Reggae, and knowing nods to Punk, Rockabilly, Rag Time and Skiffle, JB & co are are the most exciting and eclectic young act Cardiff has to offer. I was pleasantly suprised by the sound and presence of Junior Bill & The Scallies' and throughly enjoyed both the music and energy produced by these amazingly talented guys. DimSwn Festival 2014 The People The Poet and Gabrielle Murphy
Gabrielle Murphy is a 17 year old singer / songwriter from Treherbert in the Rhondda Valleys. She played a startling, debut set on the Young Promoters Network stage at last year’s S?n Festival. She very much reflects the natural eclecticism of her generation, encompassing a multitude of genres (Led Zeppelin to Marvin Gaye stirred with the melodic nouse of Fleetwood Mac and sass of Rihanna). The People The Poet: Their 2013 debut album, ‘The Narrator’, took stories submitted by their fans, about a range of subjects from fatherhood and body image to fighting cancer. With echoes of Springsteen and Counting Crows, their South Wales Valleys background is represented in their melodic and anthemic rock. Photos by David Krosnia Photography

DimSwn Festival 2014 Climbing Trees
Pontypridd’s Climbing Trees suffuse gospel, blues and country influences into a heady brew they call “Cymrucana”. With their debut album ‘Hebron’ they’ve managed to transplant the musical heart of America – The Band, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Grizzly Bear – to their spiritual home in Pontypridd without missing a beat.
