Matt Murphy, Yazmyn Hendrix andJennie Moloney at The Blueman
Matt Murphy Matt Murphy writes, records and performs lyrically driven self psycho-analytical songs in the form of vocally melodic rap music. The art is brutally and uncompromisingly honest with content covering an array of gritty, real life situations that make for interesting story-telling. Addressing Hate/Love/Addiction/Domestic Abuse/Mental Health Issues and Self Development, the subject matter can be thought provoking and melancholy at times, but there is a tongue in cheek and jovial aspect to his songs with a fundamentally optimistic outlook. Although difficult to define stylistically, the artists he's most commonly compared to are Jamie T, Mike Skinner and Plan B. Newer Artists such as Jack Flash also ring a similar tone. She is currently gigging around London as well as working with various signed and unsigned artists and in the process of writing new material using pedals, voice and percussion. Yazmyn started music at an early age and progressed quickly once she was a teenager; by the age of seventeen she was giving CDs to underground and mainstream signed artists, radio DJs and celebrities trying to get her music heard. If you would like to know more about Yazmyn and hear her music visit www.soundcloud.com/yazmynhendrix and follow her on twitter: @YazmynHendrix. https://www.facebook.com/YazmynHendrixOfficial/?ref=br_rs Jennie Moloney Jennie Moloney is a singer-songwriter/all round good slice of pie, originally from sunny Southend-on-Sea, currently living, working, playing and prowling the streets of Cat Cloud Cuckoo Land (known more commonly as Brighton to your average John Doe.) She begun her journey at aged five tapping out 'Mary Had A Little Lamb' on her pint-sized keyboard and hasn't grown much vertically since. Her songs, however, have progressed from the folky acoustic variety, when she first begun writing at fourteen, to some weird and wonderful eclectic mix of whatever happens to float past her fancy at the time. From rap, to jazz, to comedy to theatre, she is on an ever-expanding musical journey to the centre of the earth to discover what the orange bit in jaffa cakes is really made out of and write a song about it. https://www.facebook.com/jenniemoloneymusic/?ref=br_rs Photos By Andy Voakes https://www.facebook.com/andyvoakesmusicphotographygallery/?ref=bookmarks
