"The Secret Level" is all about showcasing a range of colourful and upbeat acoustica - ranging from pop, folk, funk, country and lyrical - within the atmospheric candle-lit hidden gem of The Brunswick's cellar bar.

Thursday 8th December features:

THE RAMBLING ROOTS
Carrying satchels brimming with songs borne from years of travel The Rambling Roots combine raw acoustic harmonies and upbeat folk tunes to create an enchanting live performance. Emma Morgan (guitar/vocals) and Adam Wilkens (guitar/vocals/all other instruments) get a lot of their influences from artists such as Laura Marling, Bob Dylan and First Aid Kit.

BLAKE BASTION
Combining intricate guitar playing, eclectic rhythms and lively melodies, with deep bass and rich vocals, Blake Bastion creates timeless sounding songs in a modern style. His heartfelt, soul searching lyrics seek to find purpose in our fast paced and ever changing world. Influences of Jeff Buckley, Chris Cornell and Sting can be heard in his voice, and as often found with guitarists that grew up listening to their parents records, he played along with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton from an early age.
