Heard This? YDEA (Single Launch) Jack Patchett & Annabelle Van D

Love discovering & experiencing new music?

Heard This? deliver curated live music nights with a chilled vibe.

Growing up the Danish songstress YDEA spend most hours listening and singing along to records on repeat disappearing into her own universe. The music had a way of explaining the emotions she couldnt express and soon enough she knew that music was gonna play a huge part in her life. Today she describes her music as a way for her to deal with past experiences.YDEA has a way of really channeling raw, honest emotions that not only will invite the listener into her world but also bring the listener into a reflective state of mind, sharing some of the difficult universal experiences we go through in life. It is through the interesting harmonic textures, atmospheric sounds and the natural dynamics you can hear she has been inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Matt Corby and Joni Mitchell. Tying it all together on top is her warm soulful voice that truly conveys that she has found her own expression. With resemblance to a contemporary Jeff Buckley, YDEA will have you tearing up with her evocative performance and captivating sound.
