Bennett Wilson Poole + Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou

Danny Wilson (Danny and the Champions of the World, Grand Drive) and Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires, Goldrush, Saint Etienne) join forces with Tony Poole (Starry Eyed and Laughing), producer extraordinaire and king of the electric twelve-string Rickenbacker, their voices, guitars, and songwriting combining to marvellous effect in a collection of songs that began as uplifting acoustic music and grew into something far more wide-ranging and transcendent. Pulling on influences from the 60s pop of The Byrds, The Beatles and The Beach Boys, through to the harmonies of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, with dashes of Petty and Springsteen thrown in for good measure, perhaps the most remarkable thing is that what shines through all of this is the quality and originality of the songwriting. The songs deal with wide-ranging issues and personal truths, from the aptly titled opener Soon Enough through the biographical tale of Dannys family in Wilson General Store and the politically-charged rallying cry of Hate Wont Win to the social commentary of epic album-closer Lifeboat (Take a Picture of Yourself). All three collaborators have had critical acclaim in their own right. Danny Wilsons credentials go back to his days in Grand Drive with brother Julian, and his consistent high calibre output with his Champions of the World led them to sweeping the board at the first UK Americana Awards with Album, Artist and Song of the year awards richly deserved; Tony Pooles Starry Eyed and Laughing were hailed as the English Byrds on the back of their two CBS-released albums in the mid-seventies and he has since built an enviable reputation as producer and engineer; Robin Bennett has been relentlessly turning out timeless songs from his Oxfordshire base in bands from Goldrush to The Dreaming Spires, alongside founding two award winning festivals (Truck and Wood) and lending his multi-instrumental skills to other bands, including Saint Etienne. But in Bennett Wilson Poole, the trio seem to have stumbled upon that rarity of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. "instant classics hints of Willie and Levon Bud Scoppa, Uncut "destined to be a landmark release in the annals of the genre Folk Radio UK Epic magical theres no finer jangle than that of Tony Poole Ralph McLean, BBC With support from Niall Kelly Sponsored by Hobgobliun Music

Corduroy supported Blur, Pulp and Supergrass at Alexandra Palace in 1994 at the height of the Brit-Pop scene. The same year they were voted second best live act of 1994 in Melody Maker. Corduroy were formed by Scott & Ben Addison from the remnants of art-yob band Boys Wonder along with ex-Doctor and the Medics bassist Richard Searle and Jazz guitarist Simon Nelson-Smith. 2018\'s new album "The Return Of The Fabric Four" is reminiscent of a Johnny Pate or Quincy Jones soundtrack and welcomes back Corduroy who are playing an extensive UK tour for the first time since the 1990\'s.

Secret Affair

AGMP presents Secret Affair Official "Glory Boys" 40th Anniversary Tour 1979-2019 + special guests: Squire Secret Affair formed in 1978 and released their seminal debut album "Glory Boys" the following year. "The Glory Boys" was a smart-dressing youth movement based around the idea of 1960s gangster chic, influenced by the movie, "Performance." In a period of a little over two years, Secret Affair had five releases in the UK Singles Chart, and released three albums. The debut single "Time For Action" reached number 13 in the UK chart, putting them at the forefront of the \'Mod Revival\' movement. More chart success followed with "Let Your Heart Dance", "My World", "Do You Know" and "Sound Of Confusion". Secret Affair will be performing their debut album in full to celebrate the 40th anniversary of it\'s release + a selection of other Secret Affair classics. Squire were named after a shop called Squires which they originally rehearsed above. They released the first single of the \'Mod Revival\' genre "Get Ready to Go" in March 1979. Fronted by Anthony Meynell, Squire released two fantastic singles for Arista - "Walking Down The Kings Road", with anthemic "Its A Mod, Mod World" on the flip side, and "Face Of Youth Today", and a fourth "My Mind Goes Round In Circles" featured Kirsty MacColl on vocals. Squire went on to record five albums and ten singles, including the sunshine pop album "Get Smart" in 1983, and the groundbreaking "September Gurls" album in 1984, the title track a cover of Big Stars then undiscovered classic.
