BN: Blue House & Me Lost Me

BLUE HOUSE (Blue House)

Blue House released their curious and charming debut full-length Suppose back in 2016 via Whipped Cream Records, put together with producer Capitol K (Alabaster Deplume, Rozi Plain, Bas Jan, Comet is Coming) at Londons Total Refreshment Centre. The album won praise across the board, presenting us with a world of haunted pop songs about people just departed, places just left, and events just witnessed.

Move on a year and in October 2017, French chanteuse and Snapped Ankles bassist Clmentine March received an invitation to record two songs at the legendary Abbey Road Studios with producer Hans-Martin Buff (Prince, No Doubt). She paired with Blue House, resulting in this Record Store Day collaboration. Blue Houses James Howard penned A Ticket For The London Necropolis Railway, a song about the discontinued train line that used to transport the deceased from Waterloo to Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey. Clmentine wrote Summer Clouds, a meditative and simple reflection on a love affair through the passing of the seasons. The 7 release sees vocal roles swapped over, with Ursula Russell (Blue House) singing Clmentines track, and Clmentine bringing her voice to the Blue House song.

ME LOST ME (Me Lost Me)

Me Lost Me is the solo electronic music project of artist/musician Jayne Dent. Using the voice and the body as her main instruments alongside the concertina and bodhran, she electronically manipulates and loops sounds to create a unique, folk-influenced experimental music. Nestled among atmospheric and powerful original compositions are arrangements of traditional folk songs, hymns and murder ballads; uncanny and gripping in their storytelling. She has recently performed on BBC Radio 3's "Exposure", at the Manchester Folk Horror Festival and Northern Electric Festival. Her debut album is due out in Autumn 2018.

Me Lost Me makes experimental - electronic - folk - pop - noise music and is based in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK).
