Jason Ringenberg

terrace cred. presents:
on his first UK tour in 4 years, here comes Jason Ringenberg, still high octane, still scorchin'.
Raised on a farm in Illinois, within whistling distance of the Rock island Line, with George and Tammy in his ears as he determined to be a musician. Melding Hank Williams and Iggy Pop, he moved through Shakespeare's Riot and the Catalinas before hitting Nashville and its underground on 4 July 1981 from where Jason And The Scorchers launched to worldwide acclaim for a number of years. They still reunite from time to time, but Jason kept touring solo, maintaining a reputation of wild, energetic performances that hold audiences enthralled. Alongside that, he also created Farmer Jason, the children's entertainer who opens kids' ears to the joys of countrified music - contrasting, unforgettable images of the same ardent performer. He carries on receiving rave reviews for his shows and recordings including wiinning an AMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
With armfuls of releases, solo or with The Scorchers, Jason has a catalogue of songs that you'll never tire of hearing. Distilling these down, dusting out unissued gems and rerecording some Scorchers songs solo, 'Best Tracks And Side Tracks' is a 30 year retrospective of Jason's 30 year trip and he's taking off by himself, bringing his sheer brilliance and whumph to stages big and small. It's too long since he's been in Brighton, but, with his tall hat and lanky lope, Jason Ringenberg is back...
