SBD Presents: White Manna, Mass Datura, Black Doldrums / Dalston

SBD presents: White Manna Wednesday September 27th Northern Californian psychonauts return to London after a three year absence. White Manna are one of a select few bands capable of making hairs stand up at the back of the neck - Shindig! A bleached out, dramatic score to America\'s wilds. Pan, White Manna\'s fourth studio album in as many years, is a cathartic soundscaping of rugged northern California landscape...Equal parts Stooges punk, Hawkwind space rock and Kosmiche beat, their tidal wave of noise is dense, intimidating and unforgiving, best exemplified on the title track, and angry, chaotic squall dedicated to the Greek god - Mojo Few song titles summarize a band\'s aesthetic duality as neatly - or as entertainingly - as White Manna\'s Hexagram of Goo. Across three albums, they\'ve channelled mysticism, consciousness altered by drugs and/ or meditation and elemental power of nature (they\'re big on dunes) via swirling, white noise blizzards, a ruthless motor drive and fuzz caked, garage punk riffage. Now Pan with its rip roaring Evil in particular, underlines the fact that this north Californian quintet look to The Stooges and MC5 as keenly as to Hawkwind, The Doors and latterday Lungfish - Uncut "a wonderfully swampy sound: on the one hand theyre heading towards the cosmos, but on the other they possess the raw punk nous of seminal garage bands like The MC5 and Stooges" - NME https://open.spotify.com/artist/35TGUMD06sN3DkET5jbmZL www.whitemanna.bandcamp.com Support from MASS DATURA Sunshine doomers promoting their debut album [details of which TBA] https://soundcloud.com/mass-datura https://www.instagram.com/massdatura/ Black Doldrums stoned as fuck neo-psychedelic rock https://www.blackdoldrums.com The Victoria 451 Queensbridge Road London E8 3AS [Dalston station] Doors 7.30pm 8 advance from http://www.seetickets.com/event/white-manna-mass-datura-black-doldrums/the-dalston-victoria/1115826 and http://www.wegottickets.com/event/407327

BASS Collective X Lengoland

Started in April 2016 by Bushbaby and Skepsis, Lengoland was created as a place for people to discuss productions and share musical ideas. It didn't take long to evolve into a tight knit community of likeminded DJs, producers and music aficionados. Darkzy was added to the team shortly after, helping to foster an active community producing music to be played at raves up and down the country by UK Bass heavyweights. SPLAT PRESENTS THE ANNUAL BALL DRAW BALL

SPLAT presents THE ANNUAL BALL DRAW BALL SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2017 SUKI10C, DIGBETH... DOORS OPEN 1PM-11PM And here we have it... SPLATS VERY FIRST ANNUAL BALL DRAW BALL!!!! Interested???.... Read on.... _____________________________________________ We at splat are always trying to do things a bit differently and fresh talent is what we thrive on. In general, Line ups are becoming stagnant and are more to do with how popular a DJ is amongst their peers than how well they mix 2 tunes together... well this party is gonna rewrite the popularity contest that DJs have no choice to become involved in... we are giving EVERYBODY an equal chance of being picked for a set as we are holding the FIRST EVER 100% LIVE BALL DRAW to choose the entire line up for our party at Suki10c on 30th of September.... and we want YOU be a part of it... _________________________________________ THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION!!!!!!!! This is a random ball draw where each and every entry stands a chance of winning a set at SPLAT DAY PARTY... Whether your a bedroom DJ who has never been on a club stage, or an up n coming DJ who is looking to expand your audience or if you just fancy a set at SPLAT in September... this could be your opportunity to get your foot in the door, get your name recognised and open the door for future bookings. ________________________________________ BALL DRAW STIGMA We all know that other promotions who have used this idea to pick line ups already have their line up sorted before the draw takes place and the draw is mainly a bit of promotion for the event in question... but not with SPLAT... We will be going LIVE ON FACEBOOK on saturday August 5th with BAM TV hosted by THE KAT, SPLAT and a VERY SPECIAL GUEST and picking each ball individually to make our full line up... ________________________________________ THE DRAW There will be two pots with 68 balls max in each, this includes 2 balls for each Splat Resident... But here is how it is going to be drawn on August 5th... BALL DRAW 1 (hardhouse pot) 50 open entries Each of splats 4 hard house residents will receive 2 entries each on top of the 50 so there will be a 1/58 chance your ball will be picked... We will be picking 5 balls from this pot BALL DRAW 2 (mixed genre pot) 50 open entries Each of splats 4 mixed genre residents will receive 2 entries each on top of the 50 so there will be a 1/58 chance your ball will be picked We will be picking 4 balls from this pot BALL DRAW 3 (headliner pot) No open entries This will be a 10 ball pot of DJs that we at splat would like to headline our ball draw ball.... We will be picking 1 ball from this pot __________________________________________ HOW IT WILL WORK To enter into the draw and get your names in the pot all you need to do is tell us you wanna play... we will give the people who come to the party the first opportunity as this is a first come basis... once the pot is full it is full and we won\'t accept any more entries.... as soon as the list is full we will close entries so please if you wish to enter the draw can you be sure you are available to play a set in DIGBETH, BIRMINGHAM on 30th September between 1pm-11pm.... We will be drawing the balls to fill each slot on the line up so the set time will be apparent as the ball is drawn, this makes it fair for everyone... 1-2 MIXED POT 2-3 HARDHOUSE POT 3-4 MIXED POT 4-5 HARD HOUSE POT 5-6 MIXED POT 6-7 HARD HOUSE POT 7-8 MIXED POT 8-9 HEADLINER POT 9-10 HARD HOUSE POT 10-11 HARD HOUSE POT __________________________________ SO THERE YOU HAVE IT... please share and comment and whatever else you need to do to get this out there... This could be the start of something quite special :) A lot more info will follow after SPLAT CHEEKY FREAKY FREE PARTY this Saturday at Suki10c... This will be quite interesting to say the very least ;) BALL DRAW NAMES SPLAT PRESENTS THE ANNUAL BALL DRAW BALL OK guys here is the list so far... this is your very last chance to enter into the ball draw to play at splat on September 30th in Digbeth.... if your name isn\'t on the list comment and I\'ll add you on.
