SoP Live: The Great Western Tears + The Shudders

The Great Western Tears were created by the song writing partnership of Dava Waterhouse and Garry Richardson to showcase their talent for heartfelt acoustic Roots music inspired by the great pantheon of American Country, Folk and Blues. Influenced as much by hard travelling, hard workin\' and the soulful wanderings of Kerouac and Whitman as they are by the musical journeys of Neil Young, Creedence and Townes Van Zandt, they are not likely defined by one narrow genre and whatever sound a song may lean on you can be sure there is a real tale at its heart and not one you\'ve heard a thousand times before. If you still believe in Old school values and honest Roots music with a story to tell The Great Western Tears are a fine place to be. The Shudders are a mainstay of the local scene who have played all over the UK, This will be a full band show that will be played with all their usual energy. Expect driving rhythms and heart felt melodies combining their indie, country and rock influences.
