The Brewhouse presents on 26th April 2017 VIMES soundcloud.com/vimes vimesmusic.com VOGUE.NOIR facebook.com/pg/vogue.noir.music voguenoir.bandcamp.com Personal Propaganda Machine soundcloud.com/personal-propaganda-machine facebook.com/personalpropagandamachine German Electronic duo VIMES comprises of Azhar Syed and Julian Stetter from Cologne, supported by drummer Johannes Klingebiel for their live shows. With only four songs released so far VIMES have already received international recognition and love. Thus far they have played well known showcase and international festivals including Eurosonic in Groningen, Great Escape Festival Brighton, First We Take Berlin & Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg. They\'ve also been invited to play SXSW and Canadian Music Week. In 2014, the band locked themselves away to focus on their highly anticipated debut album with German producer Jochen Naaf (Emeli Sand, Xul Zolar). Following Celestial, House Of Deer and Upstairs, Ential is the first new track of their creative collaboration that showcases the band\'s development and once again climbed the Top 10 HypeMachine charts. Their delicate, electronically processed songs of heartbreak are at once otherworldly and painfully human; think Wild Beasts sense of musical melodrama wedded to the techno lifeblood that flows through the bands home city of Cologne and youre, well, still not quite close. - Electronic Beats Theres more than a whiff of Hot Chips Alexis Taylor wafting around Azhar Syeds wispy coo - The Line Of Best Fit Doors 7:30pm twitter.com/lfbrewhouse facebook.com/londonfieldsbrewhouse

Berlin Presents Dave Seaman

Berlin, Selador Records and Decoded Magazine are hooking up to bring you an exciting showcase. If you are familiar with our Berlin parties then you know we like to do things differently at new venues, new concepts and awesome collabs, so here is a huge one! Bringing you: DAVE SEAMAN With recent releases on Selador, Noir, Suara, Hive Audio, Tulipa and Sullivan Room, Dave Seaman, one of true the legends of electronic house music, is on a creative roll. A globally respected DJ for over 25 years, hes played in over 80 countries around the world and remains an exceptional artist who is always looking to the future. His label together with Steve Parry, Selador Recordings has been one of the most exciting labels around since its inception 2 years ago, releasing many different colours of house and techno and in this current world of limited shelf life, ever-diminishing attention spans and fast-moving, here-today-gone-tomorrow disposable club culture, it is the mark of true talent and dedication that Dave Seaman is still at the forefront of electronic music. STEVE PARRY 25+ years DJ experience, still loving DJ-ing like he\'s just started. Frisky Radio monthly show, runs Selador Recordings (with Dave Seaman), Is the head honcho at SMP3 Music Promo and SMP3 Music Management. There are DJs that are instantly recognisable because of their standing in the scene, their visibility on social media or the wacky things they do, and then there are equally talented, immensely passionate people who prefer to work off the radar, people like Steve Parry. A working DJ since the age of 15, Steve has amassed a wealth of musical knowledge and honed some serious DJ skills over his time working as manager of the world famous 3 Beat records, a 3 year residency at Cream in Liverpool and a host of headlining gigs across the globe. As a radio host, his Red Zone show ran for 10 years on Juice FM featuring the hottest new music and regular world class DJ guests. His new show on Frisky radio continues in that vein delivering the best new music around. As a promoter Steve has had much success. Firstly with his legendary Alderaan nights which ran from \'97 - 2001 in a room above the infamous Lemon Lounge helped to shape the very scene Liverpool has become known for. Steve\'s attention to detail and crowd focused guest selections has built a solid and lasting reputation in his hometown and far beyond. These days Steve is mostly found working on his company - SMP3 Music Management. where he sources music for a diverse range of DJs including Sasha, Just Be, Sander Kleinenberg and many others. SMP3 also has a promo mail out service which regularly features tracks from labels as far ranging as Bedrock, Sudbeat, mircoCastle and Sprout. TOM LUKA At Berlin we invest a lot of time not only in featuring music from ze German capital and Germany but also focusing on the talent in our own city right here in Brighton. Tom Luka is an amazing DJ and Producer with shades of Nu Disco , Silky House and Tech House that very few artists play right now. Tom is also the co-owner of local label Horizon Recordings, which follows on the blend of luscious, funky vibes. Tom also recently kickstarted his own night called Missing People with the last event held in February at Mono featuring Ishmael , Ulex and of course himself, with the next one showcasing in Bristol. Outside of that you can find Tom on the airwaves every Thursday 3-6pm on Codesouth.FM with the Horizon Recordings Radio Show. An amazing talent with a real ear for addictive and foot tapping turntablism. MARKUS SAARLNDER Markus is the founder of Berlin-Brighton and has become known as \'Mr Berlin\' around the city. With queues down the street and full venues for every party, Berlin has established itself as one Brightons most popular and respected Underground music events. The night has also been forward thinking in terms of the type of parties (in true Berlin style), with a residency at the Green Door Store as well as alternative parties such as beach terrace parties, pop up parties, studio parties, outdoor Christmas market parties and collabs with other venues in the city. On the back of that Berlin has enjoyed a successful radio show on Codesouth.FM for the whole of 2016 having now moved over to Trickstar Radio in 2017. Markus is from Germany having moved over to the UK many moons ago and always wanted to bring a slice of his home land to the UK. Spending his early DJ years in the North West of England playing Trance, House and Tech House in around Manchester, Markus extended his portfolio with gigs elsewhere in the UK and Europe including slots at well known beach bars in Ibiza. Moving to Brighton in 2011, Markus quickly got onto the circuit with residencies for Hed Kandi and having now played at almost all well-known club venues in the city as well as boat parties, pride and other quirky pop up events. 2017 sees Markus bringing more talent over from Berlin to play at the club nights as well as plans to extend the brand into other cities. Equally Markus is focusing on some studio time with some tracks for release later in the year. Music Genres: House, Tech House, Techno

Blanck Mass + Egyptrixx (in The Lantern)

Colston Hall Presents... Blanck Mass - Live + Egyptrixx - Live -------------------- Sat 29 Apr 2017 11.82 incl. booking fee The Lantern - 20:00 British electronic producer Blanck Mass (Benjamin John Power) has responded to the socio-political trials and tribulations felt by many in 2016 with new record World Eater. Its a genre-bending effort due to be released in March 2017 which confronts both the inner beast inside human beings that when grouped en-masse stops us from moving forward towards good, and a reference to human beings themselves and their place on the planet. Drawing influence from drone music, post-rock and electronica, the music generated by Blanck Mass is always experimental and uncompromising, but the new material is founded equally in hope as well as fear. As Power says. Fear and hope are both parts of our human make up, but its the way that we act upon these feelings that is of concern to me to understand the beast or to become the beast. This is a standing show. Age guidance: 14+

Dense & Pika / Maxxi Soundsystem / Ashworth

Astrx: Dense & Pika / Maxxi Soundsystem / Ashworth Dense & Pika Maxxi Soundsystem Ashworth Mattr Matt Ortarix Time: 22:00pm-06:00am Astrx is a series of nights promoting pioneering electronic artists using sound and visuals in intimate spaces along the south coast. For our debut show at The Arch we host Drumcodes Dense and Pika who after being awarded the DJ Mag Remix of the Year for their remake for Paul Woolford \'Erotic Discourse\' and with big releases on labels such as Hotflush and Counter Record, the techno duo are starting to turn a lot of heads. This is going to be something special! Dense & Pika Dense & Pika are a British electronic production/artist/DJ duo compromising of producer/DJs Alex Jones (Hypercolour label boss) and Chris Spero better known to many by his Glimpse alias. The duo first came into fruition in mid 2011 with a number of white label releases. It wasnt long until they were noticed by Scuba and have since had multiple releases under their belt on Adam Beyers Drumcode, Scubas acclaimed Hotflush imprint and have branched out onto the elusive Hypercolour. Dense & Pika have also been showing off their remixing talents by reworking the likes of Adam Beyer & Ida Engberg, Digitalism, Disclosure, KDA, Leftfield, Maya Jane Coles, X-Press 2 and also Paul Woolfords Erotic Discourse, which won the DJ Mag category for Best Remix in 2014. Touring across the globe on a weekly basis has seen the duo play at the cream of the world\'s clubs such as the now legendary Trouw (Amsterdam), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (London), Gashouder (Amsterdam) and international festivals all over the world. Gaining club support from electronic music\'s finest DJ dignitaries such as Skream, Scuba, Chris Liebing, Breach, George Fitzgerald, Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Jackmaster, Dusky and beyond. Maxxi Soundsystem From Brighton, Maxxi is currently one of the most sought-after and hard working performers on the international circuit. Years of working his magic as a resident DJ, and his subsequent notoriety and prowess as a producer, releasing on esteemed labels such as Hypercolour, Futureboogie, Culprit & Hypercolour have only fuelled his career trajectory. Constantly on the road, he has notched up an impressive list of club and festival appearances that continues to grow by the week. Though, after locking himself away in the studio at the end of a hectic 2016 (which was spent almost entirely on the road), hes cooked up a new batch of music, which will see the light of day in 2017! Ashworth 2015 was the year when Ashworth really made his mark, releasing his debut album \'Grain\' on Needwant. The album showcased a producer who has a way with melody, sensitivity and musical depth; rare to see from a creator who enjoys late nights in loud parties as much as avant-garde concerts. Ashworth spends his days producing and engineering, whilst creating sound art and scoring music for film. From meticulously crafting milliseconds of audio, to playing marathon DJ sets in clubs across Europe and beyond, it is this variety of experiences and stimuli that enriches his work. Making the decision in 2012 to record and DJ under the name \'Ashworth\' gave Joe a chance to take a step back and consider what it is about music that inspires him. A few years of relentless music-making resulted in a sound that has the gritty honesty of techno, with an experimental and melodic edge. A string of releases and collaborations have organically grown Ashworth from a brand new name on the scene to an established artist, with releases on W&O Street Tracks, Anjunadeep, Holic Trax and Little Helpers, receiving support from Maya Jane Coles, B-Traits, Dixon and many others. Ashworth has also been building a reputation as a unique, exciting and versatile DJ, with a love of vinyl and extended sets. While the sets cover all aspects of electronic music, they somehow maintain a cohesive connection to the sound of the music that comes out of his London studio. https://www.facebook.com/AshworthLondon https://soundcloud.com/joeashworth

Cry Now Cry Later Vol. 1 With Kema, Kiran Sande & Chris Farrell

Cry Now Cry Later invite the people to all come raving under one roof on May 13th. On the night we have three of the UK\'s best labels motioning the dance in Brighton for a once in lifetime event on these rocky shores. All three headliners/labels escape easy description or definition by simple genre limitations, besides a genuine conviction for the music they\'ve released and an unparalleled quality. KEMA, besides releasing THAT coveted dubstep tune, has built his Berceuse Heroique labels/sublabels around a dubwise and hallucinatory pulse. While some tracks bang others open out into luscious melody. At times devastating but always beautiful. Kiran Sande and Blackest Ever Black have built a reputation for their brooding sonic and visual aesthetic but at the heart of each release is a tension between our suppressed emotions and the ecstatic. Possibly the UKs most romantic electronic music label. Chris Farrell of Idle Hands, store and label, has been providing Bristol, heart and pulse of the UK rave, with bass heavy dancefloor killers for almost a decade now. Idle Hands tracks are minimal which foregrounds the ethereal and joyousness of each track. Finally we present our residents and two of the UK\'s finest rave pioneers, Filter Dread & Etch. Digi Grime, Deconstructed Broken Beat, Filthy Footwork & Juke, you name it they have made it. Do you remember dropping your first pinger and losing yourself in alien frequencies? They will take you there again. Artwork by Huma Ahmed

Patterns With Axel Boman

Saturday 13th May Patterns with Axel Boman + support from Chris Headcount DJ Faro Neal Scthumm vre Axel Boman is one segment of the trio behind the oh-so vibrant Studio Barnhus a DJ triad, label, Stockholm based studio and most notably, a splash of playful flush amongst the glut of dance music collectives. Run together with Petter (Border Community) and previous club guest Kornl Kovacs, the label has seen releases by the likes of Baba Stilz, Abdulla Rashim, HNNY & Matt Karmil, the mooring of a quarterly residency at Corsica Studios and the launch of a fresh online shop (hot tip!). Boman made a breakthrough with his EP Holy Love on DJ Kozes Pampa Records in 2010 where the song "Purple Drank" became a decisive big-room banger, since then he has been touring extensively and making remixes on labels like Permanent Vacation, Moodmusic, Glass Table, Hypercolour, Tartelet and of course Studio Barnhus. 13th May we finally welcome the raw, playful and color drenched sounds of Axel Boman to the basement. Bad Vibrations Presents: She-Devils - Free Entry

SHE-DEVILS Through primitive electronic gear, hypnotist vocals, and an amusement park of sounds, the duos album constructs a fun-house world of beautiful chaos. The music is built from original sonics inspired by everything from Iggy Pop to Madonna to T-Rex to Can, as well as the romantic longing of 60s y-y. The pair met four years ago while living at a music rehearsal space in the Mile-Ex neighbourhood of Montreal. We were like wild animals, kind of fearful and just surviving, recalls Kyle, But we had certain obsessions and needed to build something out of them, to transcend our lives and express our visions and inspirations. In this state, Kyle and Audrey formed a friendship based on a love of the dreamy and the beautiful. She-Devils is a ship we built to sail us away to a better place, says Audrey. Entry is free via the Dice link attached.

Timo Garcia

Anyone tapped into the pulse or keeping score of modern electronic music has probably heard of Timo Garcia. Straddling the fine line between underground darling and big room, big tune dance floor arsonist, his numerous releases on the circuits biggest and best labels has been well documented. In a world when DJs and producers are ten-a-penny and the hype machines peddle mediocrity as if it were something special, it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. As such, the currency de jour is consistency & recommendations... His consistency in the studio has culminated in Wonderlust Bug; his acclaimed debut artist album with some of the worlds biggest names queuing up to recommend it... [Sasha] The Hang Drum track is amazing as is Release, Wonderlust and Lady Luck and the mixed album flows wonderfully too, keep it up mate. [Laurent Garnier] Great work...Great for big room business. [Timo Maas] Great album...v trippy and great variety!. [M.A.N.D.Y.] Solid collection of tracks. Well done! But talk is cheap, action stands out, and Timo comes up trumps again! His release on Yoshitoshi graced the Beatport top 10 Tech charts for well over five months with many world class DJs citing it in their personal top 10s. His deft touch can be heard on remixes of such luminaries as Leftfield, Justice, DJ Pierre, Louis Vega, Robert Owens, Coldcut, Danny Howells and Ian Brown and he is constantly on the lookout for ways to add his inimitable sound to wide- ranging projects including a 33 track ambient album under his downtempo T_Mo guise. The summer of 2014 saw the 2nd full length T_Mo mix feature on the Hotel Es Vive Ibiza compilation including many exclusive chillout T_Mo remixes and original productions. His infamy has spread among the label bosses who set the trends and create the future heroes of our worlds. Exploited, Leena, Noir, OFF, Compost, Skint, Southern Fried, Great Stuff, Stealth, Yoshitoshi, Nervous, Dieb Audio, Cr2 & Toolroom & even Hed Kandi are just some of the world-famous imprints who have released work by Timo. And his recent collaborations with X-Press 2, Jerome Sydenham, DJ Pierre, Phunk Investigation & Christian Cambas have all hit the hallowed Beatport top spots. It seems incredible that he still has time to DJ around the world as well as working behind the scenes engineering and mixing down many other artists projects in his Brighton based studio. Past appearances saw him play the main stage at Londons biggest Dance music festival South West Four as well as headlining festival stages from Bestival to Koreas World DJ Festival as well as tour Brazil and India; but this is a man who has both a dedication and a love for his craft and this is something that he exudes, whether behind the decks or in the studio. Whether you like your music to be played in the comfort of your own home, in grimy underground sweat-holes, or in extravagant and salubrious locales, the sublime and sensual sounds of Timo Garcia are guaranteed to deliver. Rough Draft 3rd Birthday W/ Japan Blues (TTT/BH/NTS)

Rough Draft is THREE It\'s a special kinda feeling to be able to throw this party! From the humble beginnings of Ed getting together a few DJ\'s that he loved and respected, to the 4 of us (Ed Eldridge, Alex Talossa, Sam Wild and Katie Gibbons) running what we like to think is a real, underground club night. We strive to kept our events as intimate affairs, never pandering to fads or industry trappings. Rough Draft is a party, not a brand. For our birthday event we bring you someone that we\'ve been wanting to put on for years. Japan Blues is the highly regarded project of Howard Williams, whether its mind expanding shows on NTS Radio, leftfield boogie edits on Berceuse Heroique or gnarly mixes on The Trilogy Tapes, his knowledge of far eastern music is unparalleled in the scene, a truly unique artist. This is a very rare club appearance and a Bristol debut, from an incredibly interesting character and as always we will be giving our guest an extended set. Expect lilting electronica and 80\'s Japanese disco. Joining the headliner will be Rough Draft residents, with Ed celebrating his new 12" as part of new Bristol duo, Fred on Shanti Celeste\'s label Peach Discs. There is a cloakroom, but it will be May, so we would imagine you\'ll be able to get out some summer clothes, potentially channel some Asian themes - But remember to be respectful, full scale cultural appropriation is a definite no no. This months artwork comes as a collaboration between Deep Nalstrm (Atelier Superplus) + Franklin Gothic + Ed. As always 5 OTD ALL MF\'IN NIGHT !! Bring Vibes Not Jibes! Bad attitudes will not be tolerated, and any unwanted hasslers will be ejected from the building, yes I am looking at you George Oscar. Banzai.
