The MJR Group are excited to announce that as of August 2014 the Motion complex of venues in Bristol has announced the expansion of it's operations to include live music, comedy, theatre, cinema, exhibitions and bespoke festivals in addition to the huge club events that Motion is already known and loved for.
Partnering with the South West based MJR Group, the move will also see a new 550 capacity venue open within the site called 'The Marble Factory'. This is in addition to it's main room or whole complex offerings which can scale up to 2,500 capacity.
Michael Jones of The MJR Group said, "We're incredibly pleased that we #39;re now working with Motion to build on the incredible club business that they already have in place. It's a really special venue with a completely unique atmosphere and I can't wait to see more great live events take place there. The City of Bristol is thriving at the moment and hopefully working with Motion we can add even more to it."
Initial shows announced for the venue include The Damned, Alabama 3 and The inaugural Bristol Ska & Mod Festival with Bruce Foxton's From The Jam as the first announced headliner.
Freya Thornton, Event manager for Motion said, "Motion is extremely excited to be able to expand as an independent venue and open it's doors to the world of live music! By working closely with The MJR Group to launch a brand new space, we hope to welcome many more music enthusiasts that are yet to experience Motion's unique personality."
