To celebrate the opening of its biggest ever festival, Brighton Fringe has joined forces with The Warren to kick things off with a bang by laying on its first ever fireworks display.
This free special event on Friday, 6 May will see fireworks launched from the top of St Peter’s Church to mark the opening of England’s largest arts festival. This year’s Brighton Fringe features a record-breaking 900 different events including smash hit family shows, international cabaret, spoken work, live music, visual art, world class theatre and comedy.
Julian Caddy, Brighton Fringe’s Managing Director, said: “As England’s largest arts festival it feels only right to start with something massive and spectacular from the top of one of Brighton’s most iconic buildings in the centre of town. I’m really pleased to be working with the lovely people at The Warren who are helping make the start of this year’s Brighton Fringe an incredible one.”
Brighton Fringe’s opening night fireworks party will start at 9pm on Friday, 6 May at The Warren.
This event is free but space in Brighton Fringe’s viewing area is limited, so advance booking is essential.
Tickets are available from the Brighton Fringe website brightonfringe.org, by calling 01273 917272 or by visiting the Brighton Fringe Box Office at One Stop Travel on Western Road.
