Performing and recording under the name R3hab, the Dutch tech/EDM artist Fadil El Ghoul started his career in 2008 with the track "Mrkrstft" with Hardwell. Harnessing influences such as psy-trance, Dutch House, and even Gabba, El Ghoul's productions are known to have a darker style to them compared to his peers. He teamed up again with Hardwell in 2009 with the single "Blue Magic," and high-profile collaborations with the likes of Afrojack followed in 2011 on the single "Aces High (Prutata)." He was commissioned to remix artists such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Katy Perry, and more, and soon signed with Afrojack's Wall Recordings, where he was touted as being one of the label's biggest talents. He started his own weekly radio show for SiriusXM and was soon getting headline slots with some of the biggest clubs in the world. He released a single with Steve Aoki entitled "Flight" in 2013 and subsequently, in 2014, he put out the 12" "Android," which was to be his biggest hit to date.
