Evie Woods was formally a solo artist, performing her own take on acoustic folk throughout the northwest at a number of venues. However, it was when she moved to Bristol that she found a handful of musicians that helped push her songwriting to what it is today. Their new sound has its roots firmly in acoustic folk, with soaring melodies, intricate guitar parts and percussion to compliment.
Their musical influences include Bon Iver, The Smiths, Laura Marling, Joy Division, Midlake, Jim Moray and Grizzly Bear.
Evie has played a number of respected venues in Bristol, including The Thekla, The Exchange and Mr. Wolf's as well as venues in Brighton, London and Manchester.
Evie's debut EP is constantly gaining interest, and so the pre-production for the new release is well underway.
