Alice Jemima

Alice Jemima is a 21-year-old singer songwriter from Newton Abbot, Devon. Her songs are carefully crafted slices of pop. She plays a vintage Hofner guitar and sings with a voice that is both fragile and rich.

Her musical abilities have got her noticed by many and although at the start of her music career, she has performed at high profile gigs such as at the unveiling of the Olympic Rings at St Pancreas International in 2011 where she played to the likes of Seb Coe and Boris Johnson.

She was also selected from hundreds for a spot on the BBC introducing stage at Wychwood Festival where Elisa Bray (Independent Newspaper) declared Alice to be ‘first and top of my list’. BBC Introducing Bristol also spotted Alice’s talent and asked her to perform to ‘demonstrate the terrifically high standard and variety of music in the local area’.

Alice Jemima has been played by Rob da Bank on Radio 1 and by Tom Robinson on Radio 6 who lined Alice up alongside the likes of Rizzle Kicks.

Similarities have been made between Alice Jemima and other artists such as Emiliana Torrini, Lisa Mitchell, Nina Persson and Alessi Laurent-Marke.
